At the end of the bear market the system problems typically are so clear to everybody that they sell out. Right now NASDAQ dropped 60-70% and everybody still explains the drop with the "internet bubble". SPX had only a very mild drop, considering the amount of leverage in the system. Will the Fed be able to increase the system leverage more, or will there be a total collapse that the Fed is unable to fight? In most real bear markets the Fed is helpless. Too much trust in the Fed, with deteriorating fundamentals. Another rally is another opportunity to sell in these markets, except for gold. JMHO.
