Joe, I live in a small community in southwestern Canada, population 10,000. Our local little cable company just finished upgrading their distribution system form co-ax to fiber. The node I'm connected to is on the street outside my door. They upgraded to the latest COM21 modems. there are approximately 100 connected to the system with these modems and...........they dropped the price from $65 to $45 cdn/month including lease of modem, $15 less if I buy it. I guess I should consider myself lucky eh!<g> fishweed
