I am much more concerned by true believers inculcating their children in the benefits of a closed and ossified mind.

Of course bone heads are useful. They do what they are told by the power structure they believe in. They make good cannon fodder, and I guess every society needs such people. One just doesn't want to end up at their mercy, because they have none.

LOL. Well that's pretty hard to argue with, and obviously wasn't my point. IMO, children need to be taught that caring for others is "good" and hurting others is "bad". If one has no values, or those values change with the wind, it is impossible to parent correctly.

Do you see the issue that polarized. Your characterizations seem to put people in one or the other of these boxes. This is a pretty close minded view of the "other" perspective. IMO
