G'day Michail (a bit off-topic, and a bit on),

First of all, it's been a pleasure following your posts here on Silicon Investor. Thank you.

Secondly, as someone who used to sweat over the $3 limit 7-card stud tables in Vegas, my hat is off to you on your poker success. I know it's off topic for this forum, but I'd personally like to hear a bit about your history with poker, how you got started, and what you see as keys to success.

I went to one of your links regarding the Ameritrade $1 Million award and it mentions: "Shadkin explains his strategy of buying put options", however I can't find any text anywhere that actually describes it. Any chance you can elaborate a bit?

I've never been brave enough to actually short a stock, i've always done that via put options. (my only short was IRIDium when they were halted when my options came due).
Especially since the NY markets trade from 11:30pm to 6:00 Sydney time I just couldn't sleep with outstanding shorts.
Anyway, it appears to me as though LWIN is the best of your 'short' candidates with options available. If is is destined to be a GTZ and it has LEAPS extending out to Jan, 2004 it seems like those options are a good way to maximize profits.

I'd greatly appreciate it if you could comment on options in general, LEAP options, your confidence in LWIN as a GTZ and perhaps if you see any better long range put option candidates.

Again, thanks for your time and congratulations on all your successes.

Best regards,

tom
