That is not the question I asked, but obviously you would have provided the answer if you had it. The Brady Bill probably does prevent a few felons from purchasing firearms at a gun store, but it does NOT prevent the commission of felonies with firearms, for which there are more than 20,000 laws on the books already. People intent on committing a felony have no trouble acquiring a firearm.

The principal effect of the Brady law is an erosion of liberty of law-abiding citizens. It does not prevent crimes.
