I have studied both parties extensively over the years and have had leanings in both directions. However, the regressive activities of the Republican leadership over the last several years have me as far removed from Republican thinking as I ever have been. It is based on taking care of the wealthy at the expense of the poor and working class and creating friction around the world to make sure the military machine gets a great welfare check, and disregarding the environment. So I value freedom and liberty and don't much care about security and safety. I guess the shield is not about security and false safety and guns are not about false security. You should look a little closer, in my view your party is exactly about security and safety especially for the rich!
