Anyone.
I have a Dell computer that was given to me by a company.I looked into my autoexec.bat,by using msconfig,and found the following.

if not "%os%"=="windows-nt"=%comspect%"=="c:\windows\comand.com"sets-local-dir=

set win32dmipath-c\dmi
set path=c:\dmi\bin

Also in my startup

3com DMI agent

Anyone know what all this does?

I looked into the readme file and found that DMI is "Dell open manage instrumentation ver 5.1 but have no idea what it does.Does this have anything to do with being on a local network and allowing them to "see" my computer?

Thanks,David
