All,

Has any analyst on Wall Street attempted to do a DCF analysis on Intel's operating earnings, i.e. earnings from selling uPs and the like. AND, combine that with a NAV of their portfolio? (not including the money they manage for their 401k)

OT Hi John, re: something easy for consumers vs but it already exists - you just have to build it yourself

One time an engineering executive did not want to go ahead with developing a product (a product that's completely unrelated to the one mentioned, but the arguments were identical): consumers can build it themselves.

No matter how much market information or evidence from the customers one gave to him, he just couldn't see rhyme or reason for doing the product because in his eyes the customers could just build it themselves. He was overruled and the product went on to become the number one selling product from this company. (The company wasn't in the semi biz).

Regards,
Amy J
