Fortunately for me, I jumped on board AMD in June 1999 around $9 ($18 pre-split). Glad I didn't wait for it to go to $2.5, sad I didn't buy more at the time. I didn't weight my portfolio so heavily until Jan. 2000. My brother gave me the tip to buy AMD and I've been pro-AMD ever since.

For nostalgia purposes, do y'all remember last July 3rd, JJ of SSB gave his little 'the party's over' speech. Hopefully with the two analysts reports this morning, AMD's valuation can be based more on what is projected for 3Q and beyond, in case 2Q is a little tight.

Good luck longs, tough luck shorts.

5 years back ML stated that they has very little doubt that amd would go below $2.5 ($5 pre-split) and would never recover again"

I didn't realize that Paul once worked at ML!
