Hi Tom,

I am in same situation. I think there are some really great companies at good value. I wish I had some better tool to decide upon. My current target list is PMCS (I have some), IDTI, ESIO, BRKS, ASYT, CMOS, I can't finish the list, just too many.

Best luck

Tom, VTSS trading sure is fun, its been a long time, hope I'm welcome
Anyway my interest is slowly changing from trading to understanding VTSS fundamentals. I like what I see with their processes (CMOS + GaAs + InP) however my short term concern is with gross margins. As I see it VTSS's process cost is low enough to compete but I'm not sure that the volume will increase to make up for lower AUP's.
All the long haul TAM data, that I can find, suggests that a lower semi AUP won't result in any change in the unit TAM. The big variable seems to be in the Metro markets where lower laser module costs could really spark an explosion in volume. Any ideas?

From what I hear prices for OC48 TIA's, PA's and LD's have dropped from around $20 each to under $5 each. Anyone got any accurate data?

While I realize that OC48 is old technology I'm sure that it still makes up the volume of shipments. Is any breakdown info available on VTSS's shipments of OC48 vs OC192 vs OC768?

We need to get this thread moving again
