Randy, current $cash hoard. MicroSoft has accumulated an enormous amount of $cash it can draw on for acquisitions or research, especially compared with some of its rivals. Msft $30.1 billion Orcl $4.99 billion Emc $2.41 billion SunW $2.23 billion Aol $1.27 billion In America its always the guy with the most money who eventually wins. Name me one company in America who contributed more money to George Bushes presidential campaign that MSFT? Oh! Oil companies excluded.
