"**Intel is starting a new micro-architecture with P4, which should be able to outpace AMD's Athlon, which is nearing the end of its very successful life cycle, in terms of clock speed, scalability, and general performance. "

What could this mean - "AMD's Athlon, which is nearing the end of its very successful life cycle, " ?

Albert,

Thanks, pretty good report.

It's always surprises me that the analyst reports on Intel don't spend more time on the server market (which can give Intel it's best opportunity for upside) and the "other businesses" (which can give Intel it's best opportunity for downside). They all seem to be dealing with the Intel of five years ago.

Good move in AMD today. Looks like it may have legs, if the overall market cooperates.

I'll be very curious to see how the market share thing plays out in the earnings reports.

John
