No. I actually agreed with his statement. The implied presumption, however, is that anyone of faith is represented by the "other." I say this because of his characterizations of people of faith. The box he painted does not fit me or any of the people of faith that I respect (small segment of the population).

The problem with people who think they are open minded is that they are often the opposite. Blooms "Closing of the American Mind' makes that point rather nicely.
