Steven is clearly suffering from a prejudice against close minded people. We probably out to have an intervention and ship him off to a consciousness raising group.

No. I actually agreed with his statement. The implied presumption, however, is that anyone of faith is represented by the "other." I say this because of his characterizations of people of faith. The box he painted does not fit me or any of the people of faith that I respect (small segment of the population).
