Interesting. I am going to ponder this statement for a while. For the moment, however, it reminded me of someone I knew about 25 years ago.

There was a free love group/family in Greenwich Village the was led by a man named Tom. Tom told everybody in the group that they had to be everybody's everybody (lover, friend, companion, etc). Everyone outside of the group is a phantom. Everyone was having lots of fun. But if you got weird Tom would tell you that you weren't being "real." If this became contentuous you were out, because you just weren't "real." As you can probably guess, Tom eventually was the only one left who was real.
