Gene,

Athlon/DDR systems will be very cheap, and will easily outperform P4/i845/SDRAM. I can't see i845 being promoted by OEM's very heavily.

The only sensible Intel P4 combo is i850/RDRAM.

PIII/Tualatin in the desk top market

I would have to assume that the small die size of Tualatin will replace Celeron since it is only thing they can market for $75 for value market that is competitive with AMD Duron.

I would also assume Intel runs 4iRDRAM with P4 up the flag pole in 2002 before making final decision about DDR being in the mix with 2-3 GHz mainstream CPU's they will have by 2003.
