Hi Jdaasoc; Re your comparison of socket count between the dual processor Athlon 4 and the dual processor Xeon RDRAM system...

Actually, the Xeon system has 4 RDRAM channels each with 2 sockets, the Athlon system only has a single DDR channel with 4 sockets.

In other words, DDR has a 2 to 1 advantage in socket count per channel.

P.S. Would you like to make a bet about the relative prices of registered 512MB DDR and 512MB RDRAM a year from now? That might be enough to interest in plotting it (weekly) at least until you cry uncle(west).
