Hi Jdaasoc; Unregistered PC2100 512MB DDR is $259 on Pricewatch right now. That's well below the $377 for RDRAM, and about half the registered DDR price of $494.

I feel that I've shown you that there is no inherent reason why registered DDR should be more than about $5 per module than unbuffered. It's all about production volumes, and right now there is almost no demand for registered DDR DIMMs. Demand for unbuffered DDR DIMMs is pretty much restricted to high end AMD systems, and even that is a damn small percent of the market.

P.S. I'm going to be away from a computer for a week, so don't imagine that I got kicked off SI. But I promise to continue posting as Scumbria, NightOwl, Ali Chen, NicDaGreek and gimme_a_bj, LOL!!! (That was intended as humor!) While I'm gone, I'll consider reporting 512MB registered memory prices as you've requested. My inclination is not to bother until AMD announces that at least one model is compatible with their 762 chipset. Of course there is no way in hell I'll post prices for 128MB registered sticks (if any still exist), what were you thinking when you did that.
