dang! what the hell happened out there today? Time to play Friday night catchup... was todays outage enough to make the technicals on the charts meaningless? there were some important breakouts in the semis, and then alot of them retreated at the end of the day.. Then again, until I catch up and see whats shaking- Im not even certain if what Im seeing in AMAT and INTC are correct or misprints so ill keep my mouth shut before celebrating their failure to sustain the break outs : )

I will say that this week was one of the best weeks I have had in months at the office. Prices on memory are still plunging, but demand was really picking up.. Perhaps this is what the market was pricing in over the last few weeks? but I still think that the pickup in my orders is simply companies and individuals taking advantage of insane prices.. The sales people I deal with in the trenches are still maintaining that computer sales are virtually at a stand still, and companies are upgrading their existing hardware so this might explain the surge. The people I know that deal with companies like Cisco, Nortel, and Juniper still say that things are not showing even the slightest sign of recovery and to me this is a better indication of whats really happening.

Is anyone shorting NVDA? If so, and you want to hear my thoughts on that monster, let me know.. I missed ATYT because I was so convinced the market would punish the semis, but im not chasing it.. If they bring this nasdaq down and this all turns out to be a headfake, this is one stock thats a must own.. In fact, I like ATYT more then AMD going into this year.. This stock has the potential to triple from here.. of course, one product design flaw or missed deadline and the stock will collapse but thats always been the case with biotech and semiconductors : )
