Since you took the trouble to investigate, what is the time gap from the last pre-16M post to the first post-16M post? Did SI lose posts or did they jack up the count suddenly?

You are really harping on this! What's up, were you gunning for it? Let's just say if it happened to be there, I might have fired a shot. My first thought was that it had been taken in Bizzarro SI, also known as the Land of Null, sometimes referred to as Area 10000. I looked around, but didn't see it. Then, like you, I got bored. I can't see any reason for SI to have decided to block the numbers to discourage grubbing. If nothing else, it puts their post-count up. A mystery, wrapped in a riddle, surrounded by an enigma, tucked inside a jelly doughnut.
