That would have been a neat place to have owned. You could have loaded up on crappies and white bass during the spring run.

Rend is a big goose hunting place now but being so shallow it gets rough with very little wind. It's even shallow for an Illinois lake.

I've fished a few of the lakes down south that are very deep. 50' off the bank and it's 100' of water. Hard to figure for a guy who's used to flat land lakes.
