Re: Whenever they flex too much muscle, the market will put them in their place.

What are you talking about?? Was the lawsuit against Microsoft filed by "the Market"? Did judge Jackson get rebuked for his awful handling of the Microsoft vs Market case?? Did Joe Klein impersonate Adam Smith's Invisible Hand??

Excerpt:

The surprise was that the sullied figure was that of Thomas Penfield Jackson, the decorated federal district judge who presided over the historic case and who ordered Microsoft split apart.

I bet you Jackson's been on AIPAC's payroll all along....

Again, US media moguls couldn't care less about Bill Gates as long as Microsoft stuck to the software biz and kept out of the media CONTENTS turf. Over the last couple of years, Gates has extensively travelled to China and India, his two pet countries... Besides, Microsoft's HQ in Redmond, WA, makes it a true Transpacific company. So, all in all, if Gates manages to successfully build up a media empire, don't expect him to hire Kissinger as a keynote writer! LOL!
