I mean that salaries(excluding corporate) have not kept pace with college tuitions,house prices,car prices,insurance premiums.Medical intern and resident salaries have only tripled in 30 years while many of the latter mentions have gone up much more.Did you know that the average graduating medical student has incurred a debt load of almost $100k and will be out of the job market for 10 years when you include 6 years of postdoctoral training.
