Fred - I'm the one who posted about Windows Media Player causing lockups. It's the newest version - 7.1 - that seems to cause the problem. I have an older version - 6.4 - installed now, and it hasn't been a problem. To uninstall ver. 7.1, first check to see what version you have on your computer. Open the program and click on HELP in the top toolbar. Then click on About Windows Media Player to get the version no. If you have 7.1 and want to uninstall it, click on START - SETTINGS - Control Panel. Look for the Add/Delete Software icon. Click on that, then scroll through the list of programs till you find Windows Media Player. Click on the Add/Delete button. You may be asked to restart your computer.

I hope this helps. I thought I'd post it publicly since others might have the same problem.
