I spent 3 years with Intel.

And you left because...?

Oh, I see you're a field service engineer in Orlando for Novellus, my single largest holding. You must spend a lot of time making sure the production line at Harris Semiconductor keeps running smoothly.

Any Intel investor should also have a big chunk of semiconductor equipment stocks. There's as much high-tech in the equipment as in the ICs themselves. I also like Lam Research, since they got that new CEO a couple of years ago. But Intel-types who only want to own the big dog on the block should definitely have AMAT in their portfolios (and they have catchy ads on TV now, much better than blue men).

Those who made the "one-decision" to own Intel years ago and didn't diversify are going to be sorry soon, if not already. 1997 prices coming soon, to a quote page near you. Just punch in "INTC". The Barrett years--what a ride!
