Canada searches for leaders who fit nicely into a box , as does much of the business community when selecting leadership. Visionaries are to be feared , less they upset the status quo or be too radical or forward in their thinking. Canada likes people like Jean C., who can blow smoke up peoples a$$ " From Sea To Shining Sea " and NEVER have to face some crude realities of the patchwork entity known as Canada. They fear speaking out about the most obvious of things that are on the minds of many many canadians , less they be labeled...and we know how quickly canadians are to label, surpassed only by our Southern Neighbours in that function. So Captain Canada will continue to play on that theme , right up to the time where Jean steps down and hands the reigns of power over to his long loyal Rat Pack Buddie , THE TOBINATOR Only then will you see the true Brian Tobin. However..his call on More - Tel was poor judgement. The internet initiative for public buildings through - out the country is a good one.They likely saw the folly in the " to every home " madness earlier considered. Ever try to do technical research with the material currently available at most universities and libraries in this country?They are in the dark ages by internet standards.Why spend billions to upgrade those when it can be achieved by simply placing access in those same locations on a one time basis?Makes perfect sense to me. The " study " however, is amusing at best. I'll give them most of the answers they are looking for right now...for 99 million less fer cripes sakes. I look forward to the results.....yawn.. It will be a case of the " study " being used as a back-drop for plans already in place, with a few statistics thrown in to make it look like they actually did some research. As for Paul Martini....you really want a stock broker to run the country ? YIKES!! A good Finance Minister is seldom a good Prime Minister. Remember Brian Mulrony........how can we forget..we will be paying for it for the rest of our lives. Cretian was never a good finance minister , but appears to have pulled off a pretty convincing leadership role.
