This is what Christ taught Joe. ‘You diligently study the Scriptures because you think that by them you possess eternal life. These are the Scriptures that testify about me, yet you refuse to come to me to have life. WHY IS THAT JOE? He doesn't say follow my example, if you did that, you would have to be a martyr. His "living example", was to die, and rise again the third day, Joe "He said to them, "How foolish you are, and how slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken! Did not the Christ have to suffer these things and then enter his glory?" And beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, he explained to them what was said in all the Scriptures concerning himself." "Then the Jews demanded of him, "What miraculous sign can you show us to prove your authority to do all this?" Jesus answered them, "Destroy this temple, and I will raise it again in three days." The Jews replied, "It has taken forty-six years to build this temple, and you are going to raise it in three days?" But the temple he had spoken of was his body. After he was raised from the dead, his disciples recalled what he had said. Then they believed the Scripture and the words that Jesus had spoken." You would do well if you did the same.

The type of faith that needs the supernatural and miracles is just a real long funeral procession. you have to remember also , that Jonah spent three days in the belly of a whale ....so don't dare to question what they told you happened a 50-100yrs later. The "Resurrection Legend ": accnorwalk.com it's almost like one of those story boards they do for movies, isn't it? You can see "imagination" written all over this treatment...or you could say an added later "divination" and embellisment. * I would love Jesus more , if he were just a man, and risked death for his beliefs . But they needed that hook , to convert , sway , intimidate and create mystery, for the benefit of priests and rulers. The need for law , morals , and peacful ways of living resolution of conflicts , understanding was already apparent all over the world at that time. Men had contemplated it already in great seriousness for a 1000 years in Greece , Persia , China and India . Socrates had already said "Know Thyself "...and that he was not a Greek, but a citzen & part of a greater kingdom of the entire world. The Eternal Life thing ...well , that one is just too obvious. All "Life" itself is already --->"the Great Miracle".
