Dear Rich4eagle: I think I told you that story just to get you thinking as you were communicating with someone else regarding soldiers. Anyhow, related to the waste you are talking about, I would say THE VAST MAJORITY of it has NOTHING to do with the Armed Services, but rather Congressmen of either party (although Dems appear to be the worst) pushing through pork barrel projects, refusing to allow bases to be closed ETC ETC ETC and STICKING IT TO THE MILITARY budget. If I understand Bush correctly, it is his desire to eliminate as much of that as he can and take the dollars saved to improve the soldiers lot as well as step up the Technological investment in our arms.
