The GOP isn't against lawyers, they're against patients rights. Lawyers is just a buzz word used because most people hate lawyers. The GOP uses as least as many lawyers as the other side of the aisle. Half of them are lawyers. If the HMO kills your momma you won't be able to sue. That's what the GOP stands for. And most people are dead set against it. Only soft money keeps that issue alive.

I understand that the House version of the health care bill will prevent HMO's from suing patients who violate the HMO's rights, i.e., don't pay their bills. LOL
