This would be quite hilarious if it were true. I'm not challenging you because I have no interest in Rush (having never heard the guy before). But I would like to verify it before I laugh. You got a reputable link or anything that would verify this?

Totally untrue. When did Rush come to CO.? His last visit was a few years ago for a Bronco playoff game, that's as unruly as it gets. Jim

Are you referring to the "bake sale" a fan held to raise money for a newsletter subscription? It was a major publicity coup for Rush. He showed film clips on his TV show and bragged deservedly about his grassroots popularity. Scared of the crowd? That was the Colorado and the national media who were peeing their pants...
