but of course this bear is also fairly long for a bear market, right? (statistically, of course) aren't they usually a little less than a year in duration (of course this was a longer bull than usual as well), MY POINT being that every bear and period are different and it would be difficult to look at markets from 30 years ago and apply the same principles furthermore, i understand that you use this as part of your equation - his statement standing alone is meaningless
