I now know who paid for Cheney's procedure.....not an HMO, not Blue Cross, but Halliburton..........,The pacemaker plus implantation is still an expensive procedure to undergo. The device itself costs between $30,000 and $40,000, said Stein, with the whole procedure running around $100,000. .............your average patient can't afford it but rather has to take antiarrhythmic drugs.
