Dear Josh: I know this may offend some, but recently a magazine compared a STOCK TJ (latest Wrangler model) costing about $21k to a Hummer (costing about $115k). The TJ came out on top on EVERYTHING including passenger comfort. Hummers are of little value on the trail, as your friend found out they are just too wide. Their main purpose was to transport troops and all over a battleground type terrain. They can span ditches and all but lousy mountain climbers and all. Now, of course, if a Hummer attempted to compete with my modified TJ it would have little chance. JDN
