Gary Bloom, CEO of VRTS
The era of complete non-spending by IT managers is over. Now is a time of more predictable spending

Y2K and the dotcom era caused huge spending among IT managers. Both are now gone

The percentage of IT spending going to storage (VRTS' field) is higher than last year

Companies are much more confident in spending now

Visibility is good here, with the deal flow at VRTS continually improving and with companies talking more aggressively about deals

Yesterday SP500 had 303 advances and 188 declines. It's getting better.
