Such claim, whether by you or Mark Goldston is preposterous. See isp-planet.com for a more objective view of where NZRO sits among the pack. One cannot claim, as NZRO does, that it's size is measured in terms of "registered users" many of whom either never log onto to the service, or if they do, do so quite infrequently as a backup service. Of course such users could be measured IF in-fact they were paying subscribers; but they're not. In terms of paying subs, NZRO may get to 500K subs; we'll see. But according to the chart in the above-referenced article, such "achievement won't ALONE move them up one notch in the pecking order. Of course, you consider NZRO and JWEB as one merged company. Notwithstanding that (1) today they are not a merged company; (2) the merger is not consummate until the ink is put to the paper at year end; and (3) you have bought shares in NZRO, the two companies, when merged might have 1.5 million paying subs, enough to push one notch above ATT Worldnet. I say "might" because ATT Worldnet's subscriber base is certainly not going to stand still either. I think if the merged company, UNTD, can achieve 2 million PAYING subs or more, it stands of chance of receiving a buyout offer. But this remains to be seen because of the combined company's cash position and the time in which it must grow that subscriber base. In short, it is preposterous to consider NZRO has the nations's second largest ISP. Just one observer's perspective.
