here is the QUARTERLY chart for the london pm gold fix going back to the 1970's....note that we have a crossing over of the slow stochastics on this quarterly chart at this time....and EXCECPT for early 1999 a crossing over of the stochastics turns out to be a good indicator of a "directional" change for the gold bullion price which ended up lasting a good bit of time... bigcharts.com of course, with a quarterly chart one need a "long term" perspective......:)
