brushwud, <<<It's remarkably odd that an Intel partisan would cite Michael Corleone as an exponent of "business" philosophy. I hope I don't wind up with a horsehead in my bed for posting my opinion that Intel is overpriced at $30.

The search for unrealized "hidden value" in Intel's investment portfolio and server opportunity on this thread reveals the extent to which INTC holders need to rationalize the present valuation despite the fact that in terms of current financial performance, there is no there there. >>>

Touche. Good post. I may not totally disagree with you that Intel is overpriced at $30 and that the investment portfolio contributes very little to valuations.

However, wrt to the server market and Intel's opportunity in that market, I am not as certain as you are (that it is not there).

If the server market is indeed $60B and that it is growing at a double digit rate and that most of this growth is heading towards Intel, then I do not believe that valuation is reflected in the $30 current Intel price.

I am open to either possibity - that it is either there or not. I would appreciate your thoughts on this matter - even if it is only personal.

Regards,

Mary
