Progress? Absolutely. Anybody who thinks that things were once better than they are now in insufficiently familiar with history. I think things are mostly better now then they have been in the past, but that doesn't mean all changes are progress. There are things that are worse as well as things that are better. On the balance they are better particuarly in terms of the economy (despite the recent slow down I'd take today's economy over some boom time in the 1800s), and technology. Tim
