Deutsche Bank says technical outlook for base metals "worsened"

New York, July 2 (BridgeNews) - The technical outlook for base metals has
"generally worsened, though there is still scope for the downside in aluminum
and copper to be limited," according to an independent technical analyst for
Deutsche Bank. Lead and nickel "appear to show the worst situations, with
further risk on the downside evident." Zinc and lead look set to retain an
underlying negative bias despite some consolidation in the short term.

OPEC economist says $20 per barrel on horizon, report says

Berlin, July 3 (BridgeNews) - The price of crude oil should dip to around
$20 per barrel in the "foreseeable future," despite increasing demand, Shokri
Ghanem, head of the OPEC research department in Vienna, told the newspaper Die
Welt. Demand this year should increase around 1.2 million barrels daily, based
in part on expectations that economies in OECD industrial nations will expand
an average 2% this year, Ghanem said.
