Qualcomm is granted rights under Nokia's CDMA-related and other patents to market and sell CDMA components, including multi-mode integrated circuits.

You may be right....however the above paragraph seems to make a distiction between CDMA related patents and "other patents". Also, since Q will have a single-mode W-CDMA chipset it would seem like the mention of "multi-mode" chipsets might meen GSM.

If the cross-license does not include GSM....it would seem like QCOM would have gotten the bare minimum to get a deal done.

Your thoughts?

Very extensive negotiation, over a long period of time. Neither Nokia nor Qualcomm will have left important issues unresolved.
