pompsander, nobody knows the future, we have just come off a bubble, like japan did in 1989, nobody knows the extent of the excesses built up or the amount of time it will take to wash them out, or if they have already been washed out, from a chartist perspective, we remain below the 200 dma on most major market indexes, with a certain amount of time duration, not like the few weeks we were below in sept/oct 98, until we make some headway above this average and it starts turning up, people can posture and say this is the bottom, and this time is different all they want, but the movement of prices will be the ultimate decider.
