Larry, I have said many times, in the volatility series, the local first derivative is more useful than the actual value, IMTO, and that is how I use it, and only as one of many indicators. Getting ready to pounce back on MERQ here under $55.

I believe VXN is relatively new. I show data only back to January of this year. Year high 83.56 (4/25) year low 43.17 (7/2).
