tc and Ed,

Thanks for the suggestions. Unfortunately neither of them worked. I am obviously connected to the internet... contrary to the message below which I receive when trying to connect to either www.freerealtime.com (from Google) or www.classmates.com . I also made the changes on the tools/internet options/security tab. Any other suggestions? I'm going crazy with this now. I've tried both ISPs (attglobal.net and mindspring.com) and neither work on these sites. The only other thing I've noticed is on some sites where there is a "click-on" such as for additional info... nothing happens when I "click-on"... and that only happens on certain sites and not all of them. (EDIT): The below message only comes up after about thirty seconds when trying to load the two websites above... not when clicking-on a "more info" link on a site. The modem shows no activity when trying to go to those sites.
