BC: GOOD WORK

Too late for a career as a 'talking head' ??

Zahn, a CBS veteran, left that network in 1999 to work for Fox, where she earned $500,000 a year hosting her own prime time news show nightly at 10 p.m..

A Fox source, who asked not to be identified said that about 10 days ago, Zahn's agent called Fox asking if the television anchor could begin talks about her contract before the 2002 expiration date.

The Fox source added that the network offered to increase her salary to$800,000 a year. ``We didn't hear from them after that. We contacted the agent a couple of days ago, and the agent said we're about to get a third party contract. That's a violation of her contract.''

Afterward, he said, Fox was informed that Zahn had been offered a contract for $2,100,000 to anchor a morning show being developed by CNN.

hmmm ..
