No, MTBE is a disaster, but the oil companies say they have much quicker better ways of producing less pollution compared to ethanol....those outside california don't see the problem combined with already astronomical gas prices that there is no pipeline solution to shipping zillions of gallons of this stuff around California...will slow down production, and possibly add as much as FIFTY CENTS a gallon to gas...
