As a matter of course, I always see the Cherry Blossoms, but not once, even growing up in and around Washington, have I been to the parade. I was at the Marriot next to the Willard, near the National Theater. I paid extra for a room with a view, and could see all the way down to the Wilson Bridge. I watched not only the Mall fireworks (which were nearly at eye level), but fireworks displays in various Virginia municipalities, plus (probably) Fort Washington, Maryland. Given the rain, it was an especially cozy thing to do.........
