Pomp, In a nutshell, Q gained access to NOK's IPR to make all the various multi-mode chipsets, received a multi-million dollar one-time license fee, set sub device royalties for all modes of CDMA at NOK's current rate, set infra royalties for all modes of CDMA at the standard rate, and even got to issue a press release about the whole affair.

NOK gets to keep playing, for awhile.

PS - What we will learn later is precisely why NOK caved at this point in time.
