"guy who had terrible back pain and his hips were so tilted I had to make one pant leg an inch longer than the other. "

As Dr. Lee said in the OJ case...."something wrong here". Did the regular Doc's x-ray him and measure to confirm his leg was shorter than the other.....did he have scoliosis? Since he had pain, he could have had something as routine as sciatica which because of the pain causes you to tilt you body to relieve the pressure on the nerve.....you feel like an S...... 3 months is a long time......it could have easily cleared by itself in that time. Before I was introduced to the MacKenzie method I had a particularly bad episode when I went to the ER, several docs, pain killers, muscle relaxants, a chiro, and then a neurologist. The neuro was the guy who finally cured that bout by simply sending me to bed for two weeks....after about 4-5 days I could feel the pain subsiding....

Another anecdote for you.....I had a guy who worked for me that told me his back problem was cured by having his appendix removed. It seems the guy was having chronic back pain and in the meantime had an appendix attack. The appendix problem was pretty serious since he was an adult and they kept in the hospital for 2 weeks (those were the old days)......anyhow he told me when he got out of the hospital his back pain was gone... His conclusion, the appendectomy cured his back ache... He never associated the two weeks of bed rest with the cure.

I hit my head while diving and had one hell of a headache. Aspirin didn't help at all. We went to cookout at the neighbor's and a chiropractor was there. He gave my neck a crack and the headache was gone."

The chiro was an idiot and your experience is one reason I say they're dangerous. Diving accidents are the number 1 cause of broken necks. I have some knowledge of that stat because of a neighbor of mine. The chiro who twisted you neck apparently never considered you might have had a cracked or broken vertebra. You should have gone to an ER immediately after your accident to get x-rayed and examined by a neuro type..
