Silly statement in article that Qcom shareholders were worried NOK would try to avoid patents. It was the investment community, non-Qcommers, who had that worry.

On another note, I did not see CNBC yesterday. What did CNBC report and how did they play it? Can someone tell us? It is important to how much momo Qcom gets in the coming days.

By contrast, NBR merely mentioned the deal briefly when it gave yesterday's price action on NOK and QCOM, but Nightly Business Report botched the description of the deal and seemed to take a NOK point of view rather than describe the importance to Qcom. Frankly, I would have thought they would do a story on the deal since it is of great significance to the wireless industry and two big companies, with lots of investors. Deal got so little mention that it would have no impact on investors deciding to buy Qcom.

BTW, Happy Independence Day. Let's pause to be grateful for the many blessings we enjoy as U.S. citizens. And, for those who still don't understand, the NextWave decision was but another tangible example of our liberty--that limited government is alive and well, that the Government has to follow the law, too.
