Tony - If you compare the current XBIT version of AMD's Roadmap to the AMD roadmap from Anand - less than two month ago - anandtech.com -

The Desktop Palomino SLIP is very evident. The Morgan SLIP is even MORE evident - nearly a 6 month slip in just 2 months !

As you note, the placement of the rectangles leaves lots of wiggle room - for interpretation.

One other thing is evident - None of the "Horsies" is moving UP in their schedule !!

Looks like the AMD barn is getting constipated - and "Nobody is Letting The Horses Out !!"

Tony, Re: those AMD roadmaps sure leave a lot of interpretation to the reader.

I agree. And it's getting worse. The last AMD roadmap showed a rectangle that approx. represented one quarter, i.e. you could tell from the roadmap in which quarter the processor was going to be released but not the exact month. Now the boxes have gotten twice as large, and the roadmap is almost useless. I don't take this is a good sign. It looks like AMD is again in serious trouble reaching previous set deadlines. Let's see what Jerry (or Hecotr) has to say about this in two weeks.
