I would really love to see what part of my post reflects racism or bigotry? I AM intolerant of abortion and the gay lifestyle, but it is far from a belief with no direction or facts. It is not a "blind" belief. Since when are homosexuals a "race?" No, this is not a statement of racism or bigotry, but a statement of common-sense and basic morals -- no matter what your religious beliefs. Where would the world be if everyone suddenly began practicing homosexuality or abortion? Forget the Bible. Just plain common-sense should tell you these are not simple "choices", but they are absolutely WRONG if you have ANY responsibility to anyone other than yourself. On the other hand, if you are a sociopath, with no thought for anyone but yourself, then perhaps they are just choices, but I'd argue that for the good of ALL mankind, sociopaths should be disposed of -- oops, I'll bet you are against the death penalty as well (that's a whole other discourse when we make the normal, law-abiding citizens pay huge taxes to build prisons with tax-paid guards, cooks, counselors, janitors, painters, construction workers, psychologists, etc, etc., etc., and keep spending millions and millions to "make sure those that are so crazy or hardened don't hurt themselves in solitary", this is ridiculous!). As far as California goes (as per another's comments), they can hug all the trees/seals/whales/rats/gays they want to -- but let's see them do it in the dark, because that's where they (term used liberally, but not all-inclusive) want to live morally, and so they shall also in the physical pretty soon with no power. That nutty governor threatening to seize the assets of power companies -- does he really think any thinking corporate head will build in that nutty state?

I remain,

SOROS

ps I was simply trying to make a point about crooked accounting practices going on and point out the real reasons (in my beliefs) for what we are seeing as America declines. The fact that the Constitution has held up as well as it has points to the brains of the founding fathers in constructing that document. Liberals have done their best to tear it apart, and it IS amazing that it has worked up to this point. But keep watching, because all those that you defend against so-called "racists and bigots" will eventually succeed in destroying all that made the USA great. You cannot dissolve absolute universal laws without a terrible consequence -- and whether anyone believes it or not, there are absolute moral laws as well as scientific ones.

It amazes me that people always say that people hide behind the Bible and are closed-minded. I'm sure you will "moderate" this thread because you are not "closed-minded", right?
